Fall off the bone Spare Ribs!

Spare ribs. How many spare ribs can any thing possibly have? But you got to love them. There are dry rubs, marinades and of course the bottled kind of barbeque sauce...but how to make fall off the bone delicious ribs every time? Well here is a sure fire way to make them with just time. Heloise loves vinegar and so do I! More so apple cider vinegar to be sure. Also, you have to kill them, kill them and kill them again. So lets begin....

Fall off the Bone Ribs

Ribs of Choice (Baby back, regular or country)
Apple Cider Vinegar
Spices of choice (garlic, pepper, etc.)
Barbeque sauce (Sweet Baby Ray's is my fav)
Large pan and tin foil

I like to cook my ribs in short slabs and cut them after cooking but its your choice. Make them fit as flat as you can in your pan. Using the biggest pan works good here. Slosh that apple cider vinegar on them ribs. They don't necessarily need to be submerged but enough to cover bottom of pan. Sprinkle on your spices..I like a little garlic, pepper and some cayenne. Cover with tin foil and place in 375 degree pre-heated oven. Now set the timer for 45 minutes and go do a load of laundry or read a chapter of a book. Maybe knit a scarf....DING! Timer goes off. Grab your mitts and take out the pan. Get an old coffee can or such and peel back one corner of your foil and drain off all the liquid. Now get your sauce and slather that stuff all over your ribs turning them over and doing both sides. Be generous. Now cover them back up and back into the oven with them. Set your timer...40 minutes. Go play catch with the kids, check the stock market, log into Facebook....DING! Now we're cooking! Everything smells good! Ok. Now take that foil off and yup that's right back in the oven! Set timer for 20 minutes. Now get your sides ready. Maybe some homemade coleslaw..(another recipe that will come) potatoes and some greens. DING! They be ready! Let cool somewhat and slice them up and serve. Yes, they take time but if you time it right you can do this any night by starting them up as soon as you are home from work and you can get a few things done while the killing is going on. Enjoy!

Easy Angel Food Cake with Pineapple or Pumpkin

Last night made my favorite easy Pineapple Inside Out cake. Got the idea from Facebook and I just love it.

Pineapple Inside Out Cake

1 20 oz. Can crushed pineapple

1 box of Angel Food Cake Mix

Mix together and pour into your favorite prepared (I use Pam) cake pan as a bunt pan or funnel pan. Bake approx. 40 min. or till done.

That’s it! A real no brainer for sure and quick. You can also sprinkle some regular sugar on top for an added rush. Another variation is this…which is so yummy!

Heavenly Pumpkin Cake

1 20 oz can pumpkin or two cup fresh

1 box of Angel Food Cake

1 tbl. Cinnamon, ½ tsp. Ground Ginger, 1/8 tsp. Nutmeg (pumpkin spice mix is fine)

½ cup Milk (I use whole but 2% is fine)

Optional handful of chocolate chips and/or nuts (pecans are good)

Mix together and pour into your favorite cake pan as a bunt pan or funnel pan. Bake approx. 40 min. or till done.

Personally I think the chocolate chips are a must. This is a very irresistible cake. Can’t have just one slice for sure.

Hope you enjoy!
